We went back to St Baafskathedraal Cathedral but again the church was closed. Luckily, this time we were able to see the star attraction of the church. We had to come back again for the church.
The Adoration of the Mystic Lamb

Also known as the Ghent Altarpiece, this masterpiece was completed by the van Eyck brothers in 1432. It is a treasure of the European art and the world. It expresses the deepest beliefs of Christianity; that human salvation lies in the sacrifice of Christ, the Lamb of God.
The triptych will be closed daily at noon to 1.00 pm for visitors to see the outside panels
