This first baroque church in Prague was built in 1613. It was formerly known as the Church of the Holy Trinity.
The Polyxena of Lobkovic presented a Spanish wax effigy representing the Infant Jesus to the church in 1628. It is believed that the Infant Jesus of Prague has miraculous curing powers and protected the city against plague.
More popularly known by its Italian name il Bambino di Praga
