Snowing in Moscow

It started to snow on 21/10/2006.




Ulitsa Arbat

Ulitsa Arbat is a pedestrianized street. It is the most famous street in Moscow.

This is the most important Russian lavra monastery and the spiritual centre of the Russsian Orthodox Church. (A lavra is a monastery of the highest rank.)

Chapel of Pyatnitsky Well

This chapel dates back to the 17th century. We walked pass this chapel  on the way to the Monastery.

 

 

 


 

Sergiev Posad

Formerly known as Zagorsk. The original name came back into official use in 1991. The Trinity Monastery of Sergius is the main attraction of this town.
