St Peters Kirche

This church was built on a 9th century Romanesque church. The main body of the church dates back to 1705.

The largest clockface in Europe with a diameter of 8.7 m

I gave my best sermon. Unfortunately no one came

Zurich

Zurich is the largest city in Switzerland. It enjoys a prestigious position in international banking and the world's largest gold market. German is the official language.

We took the tram in front of our hotel to Rathaus to see the three main churches of Zurich. Thereafter we  took the tram back to the hotel.

Switzerland by Train

Rotenboden

We have just completed our trip to Switzerland in April 2023.

Switzerland has one of the best train systems in the world. We bought a 15 days First Class Swiss Travel Pass which entitled us to unlimited travel on the trains, trams, buses and boats. It also entitled us to discounts on mountain trains, cable cars and funicular trains and free entry to many museums.

Travelling by trains is convenient and dependable and the stations are well connected. We managed to change to connecting trains with our luggage with less than 10 minutes in between without any issues.

Download the free SBB Mobile for real-time timetables and ticketing for all trains, buses, trams, and boats

We have travelled on three scenic trains which are included in the Swiss Travel Pass. All we needed to do was to pay the reservation fees for seats.
