Stave Church

A stave church is a medieval wooden church. The name is derived from the design of the building structure called "stav" in Norwegian. Stave churches were built in Northern Europe in the Middle Ages. There are only 30 stave churches surviving in the world and 28 of them are in Norway. We managed to see two stave churches in Norway.
