Kirkenes

Kirkenes is located at the northeastern part of Norway. It is 400 km above the Arctic Circle. As a result one can experience the midnight sun and polar night here. It is now in our bucket list to come back and experience them.

We checked into the hotel and immediately started our walkabout in the town. We stayed here for 2 nights.

Kirkenes Airport

The airport is 15 km away from town. We couldn't get a Uber. Luckily, we managed to call a taxi into town.

Oslo to Kirkenes

Our flight was at 0840. It took 2 hours 10 minutes to reach Kirkenes. We were surprised that it was such a scenic flight. As we flew further north the landscape turned to white completely.
