Our first stop was Montserrat. I found this site which is very informative https://www.montserrat-tourist-guide.com. We took a taxi to the Placa d'Espanya Station for the train to Montserrat and then the cable car up the mountain.

We bought the Trans Montserrat ticket for €35.30 each. This package includes a return train ticket from Montserrat, a return cable car to the monastery, a return Sant Joan funicular to the top of the mountain and 2 free rides on the metro.
