St Wilfrid's Catholic Church

It is a Roman Catholic church completed in 1865 according to the 13th century Gothic architectural style.

We took the train to York from King's Cross Station.

We wanted to have dinner at Flat Iron Steak in Covent Garden but we were told  that the waiting time was about 2 hours. So we decided to have a Chinese meal instead since Chinatown is nearby.

We were treated to a Champagne reception after the Call ceremony in the Great Hall.

We were here to attend our daughter's Call to the English Bar at Lincoln's Inn.

My Call Day was on 26th July 1990

She was Called before the current Treasurer of the Inn, Lord Justice McCombe. The Treasurer is head of the Inn and is elected yearly.

She is now a Barrister-at-Law of Lincoln's Inn
