London Dungeon

This all new multi-million pound attraction brings 1000 years of  London history to life with a unique mix of live actors, special effects and two rides. Visitors are also encouraged to participate in the shows.

We were at the Ten Bells Pub on a stormy night when Melody was asked to sit at the table where Jack the Ripper's victim once sat. Suddenly, the lanterns went off. Then between the lightning flashes in rushed Jack the Ripper towards her with a knife in his hand. Her screams were hysterical.

We started at the Crypt and and were sentenced to death by hanging in the end, experiencing the "long drop".

No. 37, Erlesmere Garden, Ealing, London W13

I lived here for a year when I was studying for the Bar Finals in London.

My landlord (Bittu) lived downstairs and Helen and me in the rooms upstairs.

Boston Manor Station

On our 8th and last day in London, we went to see the place I used to live when I was a student. The nearest station to my place is Boston Manor on the Piccadilly Line.

Dinner at the Gourmet Burger Kitchen again

We came back here for dinner as Steffan wanted his Buffalo Burger since it was the last night before we left.

Highgate Cemetery : Circle of Lebanon

The Egyptian Avenue leads to the Circle of Lebanon. It was built in the classical style and consisted of twenty vaults on the inner circle with a further sixteen added in the 1870s.

Highgate Cemetery : Egyptian Avenue

In the heart of the cemetery lies the Egyptian Avenue, an imposing structure consisting of sixteen vaults on either side of a passageway. These vaults were fitted with shelves for twelve coffins and were purchased by individual families for their sole use.

Highgate Cemetery

Why visit a cemetery? This is what we always do. We like visiting tombs and cemeteries.

The Highgate Cemetery was opened in 1839. It reflects the funerary monuments of the Victorian era.
