Plonlein

Plonlein means a little square in German. It is a picturesque spot in the Old Town. This is a must-see for all visitors. It is made up of two wine barrels and a fountain in front of a yellow timber house and two towers in the background; Siebersturm and Kobolzeller.

The Old Town

We walked from the Rodertor (east gate) to the Market Square and then headed south to Plonlein. From there we walked to Burgtor (west gate) and back. Rothenburg is considered to be the most beautiful town along the Romantic Road.
