The Blackbird

We came here for a pint before going back to our hotel.

Seven Dials

Seven Dials is a road junction in Covent Garden where seven roads converge. It has only six sundials because  the original plan was for six roads.

Punjab Restaurant

We wanted to come here after watching Andrew Zimmern's Bizarre Food Delicious Destinations London (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-W8fg7anWuw&t=7s). It is the oldest North Indian restaurant in the UK serving Punjabi cuisine.

We have to queue to enter

Fried lentil patties

Naan

Pilau Rice

Chicken Tikka Masala

Chicken Tikka Masala has become the British national dish. It is not an authentic Indian dish but was invented here to suit the local palate.

Butter Chicken

For the price we paid I didn't think it was worth it. I have had many Indian take-aways that tasted just as good or better.

Earl's Court to Covent Garden

We went to Covent Garden for dinner.

Penzance to Paddington Station

We took the train to Paddington London but Melodie will stop in Exeter St David's. She has to sort out her stuff before coming home.

Exeter St David's

The Paddington Bear

The Queens Hotel

We went back to our hotel to collect our luggage and then to the train station.

Cream Tea at The Honey Pot

A cream tea consists of tea, scones, jam and clotted cream. It is traditionally taken in the counties of Devon and Cornwall.

Carrot cake

Chocolate fudge cake

Cheese scone

Scones, strawberry jam and clotted cream

She put the clotted cream before the jam
(the Devon way)

Since we were in Cornwall and having the Cornish Cream Tea, the proper way is put the jam first then the clotted cream.
