Agrasen Ki Baoli

A baoli (stepwell) is a well with a flight of steps leading to the water. This baoli was originally built by Maharaja Agrasen in  the 1300s and later rebuilt in the 14th century. Its function was to store water.

We reached the hotel at about 8.00 am hoping to get some sleep but were unable to check in before 10.00 am. So we waited  at the hotel since we have booked our day tour at 11.00 am.

This was our first trip to India and we were not comfortable travelling on our own. We booked a 4 days private tour to Agra and Jaipur which included hotels, a driver and a guide. We also made reservation for airport transfers and a customised private tour for our first and last day in Delhi. This has worked well for us as we were able to travel safely and set our own itinerary.
