Lunch in Solo

We had lunch here before travelling to Yogyakarta.

Bengawan Solo

This is the longest river in Java. It is also the name of a famous Indonesian folk song.

Keraton Surakarta

Surakarta Sunanate is a Javanese monachy of Central Java. While Yogyakarta rulers are called Sultans, the rulers of Surakarta are called Sunans.

The present Sunan

We visited this palace as there is no other place to go. There is not much to see here, so dont bother coming.
