Trinity College was founded by Queen Elizabeth I through a Royal Charter in 1592. It is one of the seven ancient universities of Great Britain and Ireland.

Oscar Wilde Memorial

This memorial is situated in the corner of Merrion Square. Oscar Wilde (1854-1900) was born in Dublin. He was an author, poet and playwright. He became the most influential playwright in the 1890s. In 1895 he was convicted for gross indecency in homosexual acts.

Second day in Dublin

We walked from our hotel to Trinity College Dublin.








Molly Malone 
She was a fishmonger and a working girl and was nicknamed "the tart with a cart"

Breakfast at the hotel

We will begin our walking tour of Dublin as follows after breakfast.  

Grafton Hotel -> Molly Malone Statue -> Parliament House -> Oscar Wilde Memorial -> Trinity College -> O'Connell Street -> Ha' Penny Bridge -> Temple Bar-> Four Courts -> St Michan.

We then took a taxi to Guiness Storehouse and ended our day with dinner at Chequer Lane by Jamie Oliver.
