Kaba Aye Pagoda

U Nu, the first prime minister of Burma, built this pagoda in preparation for the Sixth Buddhist Synod of 1954 to 1956 and dedicated it to the cause of world peace.

That is why this pagoda is also known as the World Peace Pagoda.
